We strongly recommend that all pets are microchipped. A microchip is about the size of a small grain of rice which is placed under the skin between the shoulder blades. Our vets will advise you as to the best age to undertake this procedure for your pet. It can be done anytime after 8 weeks of age. We will issue you with paperwork to confirm the microchip number and register your contact details with the microchip company.

A special scanner is used to read microchips; most vets, rescue centres and shelters have these to help identify lost pets and locate their owners.

There is just one fee payable to cover the cost of implanting the microchip and registering your details with the company. Please remember to update the microchip company with any changes of your contact details.
